During our recent stay at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort was a magical experience filled with highlights and opportunities for improvement. Here's a breakdown of our stay:
Dining Dilemma: Regrettably, our failure to secure dining reservations in advance, compounded by the unexpected nature of our last-minute trip during a cheer competition, resulted in missing out on the opportunity to experience the resort's popular restaurants. We highly recommend learning from our oversight and prioritizing reservations, especially during peak periods, to ensure a seamless dining experience.
El Mercado de Coronado: With limited dining options, we relied on El Mercado de Coronado for both dinner and breakfast. While dinner left us underwhelmed, breakfast was a standout, and we would happily revisit.
Scenic Grounds: Despite its sprawling size, we found the resort's grounds to be picturesque. While some guests may find the distance between amenities a drawback, we didn't mind the walking, considering the overall Disney experience.
Transportation Tidbits: Navigating the resort's transportation options proved to be a mixed experience. While the reliance on buses and multiple stops can lead to delays, particularly during peak times, the convenience of on-site transportation is still appreciated.
Room Review: The room at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort exceeded expectations in terms of spaciousness and comfort. Compared to value resorts, where space can be tight, especially with a stroller, the moderate resort provided ample room to move around comfortably. While the theming was more subdued compared to the larger-than-life themes found in some Disney properties, the subtle touches of Disney charm were still evident throughout the room.
Being a conference hotel, Coronado Springs Resort can get busy, but this didn't detract from the overall experience. Instead, it offered a different perspective on Disney magic, with a focus on sophistication and elegance. Despite the more understated theming, the room exuded a high-end ambiance, further enhanced by thoughtful details like the spacious shower and separate toilet area from the sinks.
Overall, our stay in the room at Coronado Springs Resort was delightful, providing a perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and a touch of Disney magic in a more refined setting. While dining reservations and transportation logistics proved challenging, the resort's scenic grounds and comfortable accommodations left a positive impression. With some adjustments, it could be an ideal destination for future visits.
